1. What is Cetirizin beta and what is it used for?

Cetirizindihydrochloride is the active ingredient of Cetirizin beta. Cetirizine Beta is an antiallergic. In adults and children over the age of 2 years cetirizine beta is indicated for the relief of nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis; Relief of chronic hives (chronic idiopathic urticaria). If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, contact your doctor.

2. What should you observe Beta before taking Cetirizin?

Cetirizine beta should not be used:
  • when allergic to cetirizine, hydroxyzine or other piperazine derivatives (other closely related substances drugs) or one of the other ingredients of this medicine referred to in section 6.
  • if you have a heavy kidney disease (severe restriction of renal function with creatinine clearance below 10 ml / min).


Warnings and Precautions:
Please talk to your doctor before taking cetirizine beta:
  • if you suffer from renal impairment. If necessary, you will take a lower dose. Your doctor will set the new dose.
  • if you have difficulty urinating (for example, due to problems with the spinal cord, prostate or bladder).
  • If you are an epileptic patient or with you, there is a risk of convulsions.


There were no interactions with a striking effects between alcohol (with a blood level of 0.5 per thousand, approximately one glass of wine is observed) and cetirzin is observed in normal dosages. As is recommended, however, to avoid the same term ingestion of alcohol with all antihistamines. Children:

Taking Cetirizine Beta together with other medicines:

Since Cetirizin goes into breast milk, you should ask your doctor if you are allowed to take Cetirizin beta during lactation.

Driving and ability to operate machines:
In clinical studies, Cetirizin led to no sign of impairment of attention, alertness and ability to dramatically in the recommended dose. If you intend to participate in road traffic, work without secure hold or serving machines, you should not use more than the recommended dose. You should attentively observe your reaction to the medicine. 3. How to take Cetirizin Beta?

The recommended dose is: adults and adolescents over 12 years: 10 mg 1 times a day (corresponding to 20 drops 1 times a day). Children between 6 to 12 years: 5 mg 2 times a day (according to 10 Drops 2 times a day). Children between 2 to 6 years: 2.5 mg 2 times a day (corresponding to 5 drops 2 times a day). Patients with moderate to severe kidney weakness: patients with moderate renal weakness will take you to take 5 mg, 10 Drops 1 times a day, recommended. Patients with heavy kidney weakness will take you once 5 mg, so once 10 Drops, recommended every 2 days. Type of application:

Duration of application:

If you take a larger amount of Cetirizin beta than you should:

Do not take the double dose if you forget the previous ingestion.

4. Which side effects are possible?

  • Heartbrases,

  • Aggression, confusion, depression, hallucination, insomnia,
  • Hives.


Very rare (affects less than 1 treated from 10,000):
  • Adaptation disorder of the eye (blurred view in close range), Blurred seeing, uncontrollable circular motion of the eyes,
  • small number of platelets,
  • allergic shock,
  • shortly continuous unconsciousness, trembling, changed taste, motion disorders, disturbance of the movement,
  • unwanted muscle tins,
  • Pain and / or difficulties to leave water, unwanted urinary loss,
  • Liquid accumulations in the tissue (Quincke edema), Medicine-related allergic skin / mucosal reaction.


Unknown (frequency based on the available data not estimable):
  • Memory weakness, memory loss,
  • enhanced appetite,
  • Suicide thought (including recurring thoughts or employment with it),
  • Urinary content (inability to completely empty the urinary bubble),

5. How to keep Cetirizine Beta?
