Skinsept Mucosa, Solution
Active ingredients: 10.4 g of ethanol (96%), 1.67 g of hydrogen peroxide solution (30%), 1.50 g chlorhexidinbis (D-Gluconat) solution (20 %)

1. What is SkinSept Mucosa and what is it used for?

Skinsept Mucosa is a mucosal anti-teptic for the treatment of superficial mucous membranes and adjacent skin in the vaginal area, glans penis, orificium urethrae externum when a germination reduction is required, and in the oral and throat space.

2. What do you need to consider before using SkinSept Mucosa?

Skinsept Mucosa must not be used:

• if it is hypersensitive (allergic) against the active ingredients ethanol (96%), hydrogen peroxide solution (30%), Chlorhexidinbis (D-Gluconate) solution (20%) or one of the other ingredients of SkinSept Mucosa are.
• for infants and children because of previously missing experiences.
• on large wounds, on the eye and in the ear.
• for alcohol illness due to the ethanol content.

Take special care with Skinsept Mucosa:

• Skinsept Mucosa is eye and mucous membrane. The medicine should not be in the abdominal cavity (e.g., intraoperative) and applied to nasal and bronchial mucoses. For contact with eyes or mucous membranes, rinse with plenty of water (
• SkinSept Mucosa is only externally applied. In case of accidental taking immediate medical advice.
• Contains 12.4 vol .-% alcohol

When using SkinSept Mucosa with other medicines:
Do not use together with anionic surfactants as this can lead to inactivation of the active ingredients.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
There are no sufficient data for the use of SkinSept Mucosa during pregnancy and lactation.

3. How is SkinSept Mucosa to apply?

Always use SkinSept Mucosa exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Application on superficial mucous membranes and adjacent skin: unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, unique solution undiluted to theapply wetting and leave to act at least 60 seconds. Application in the oral and throat room: unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, 1-2 times a day with undiluted solution (about 1 Rinse tablespoon at least 60 seconds or gurgle, application period max. 2 months. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions about the application of this product.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, Skinsept Mucosa can have side effects that do not have to occur with everyone. The assessment of side effects is based on the following frequency information:

Rarely urticaria and allergic reactions up to anaphylactic shock occur. Often, irritating skin reactions and contact dermatitis can occur. Occasionally light burning is possible. Excessories of the skin were observed in newborns and infants for chlorhexide-containing products (frequency unknown). Temporary flavor impairments can occur in rare cases. Reversible discoloration of the teeth, tongue and oral mucosa were previously not observed, but are described for chlorhexide-containing preparations for longer-term application.

Store drug out of reach of children.

You may not use the medicinal product after the expiry date specified on the label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.

Storage conditions:
Do not store more than 25 ° C.

The durability after a break amounts to 8 weeks.

The medicine must not be disposed of in wastewater or budgetary waste. Ask your doctor or a pharmacist as the medicine is to dispose of if you no longer need it. This measure helps protect the environment.
