6. Applications
- Liquid and electrolyte substitution for hypochloremic alkalosis or chloride losses
- as a short-term intravasal volume replacement

- as a carrier solution for compatible electrolyte concentrates and drugs

7. Contraction
Absolute contraindication:
Waxing states (hyperhydratation states)
Relative contraindications:
- Increased potassium content of blood (hyperkalemia)
- Increased sodium content of blood (hyperremia)
- Increased chloride content of the blood (hyperchloremia)
- Diseases that have a restrictive sodium supply (such as heart failure, generalized edema, pulmonary edema, high blood pressure, Eclampsia, heavy renal insufficiency)
Caution is required for renal insufficient patients with inclination to increased potassium content of blood (hyperkalemia).
Use in pregnancy and lactation:
There are no concerns about an application in pregnancy and lactation.

8. Precautions for the application and warnings
Controls of electrolyte and fluid status are required.
Treatment of hypertonic dehydration is an absolutely to avoid too fast infusion. (Attention: increase in plasma solarity and plasma grown concentration).

9. Interactions with other means
Interactions are unknown.
Due to the calcium content, incompatibilities with solutions may arise which contain inorganic phosphate or carbonate.

The dosage depends on the need for liquid and electrolytes.

The maximum infusion rate depends on the clinical condition of the patient.
Maximum daily dose:
The maximum daily dose results from the patient's fluid and electrolyte requirements. A fluid intake of 40 ML / kg body weight and day should not be exceeded in adults.
