Prostess

Read the entire leaflet carefully because it contains important information for you. This medicine is available without prescription. However, in order to achieve the best possible treatment success, Prostess must be taken correctly.

• If your complaints worse or no improvement after a few weeks, you must definitely visit a doctor.

1. What is Prostess and what is it used for?
Prostess is a herbal medicine for improving prostate-related urinary complaints. Prostess is used in complaints in water while a benign enlargement of the prostate (Mictusiveness of Mictimonials at benign prostatic hyperplasia Stage I and II to Alken or II to III to Vahlsieck).

Note:
Treatment with prostess should only be done according to secured diagnosis under medical monitoring. This medicine only improves the complaints with an enlarged prostate without resolving the magnification. Especially with blood in the urine, urinary tract infect, aggravation of complaints or acute urinary resistance, a consultation with a doctor is required immediately.

2.What do you need to consider before taking Prostess?

Prostess must not be taken if you

• hypersensitive to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of prostess.

Take special care with Prostess, if you take certain other medicines at the same time (please also note the information under interactions).

• Caution with simultaneous use of antiandrogens (e.g. Finasteride or flutamid) or therapeutic androgens.
• Caution while taking blood clotting inhibiting medicines (e.g., ibuprofen, ass or anticoagulants). Caution if you suffer from a disturbance of blood clotting as well as surgical or dental procedures.
• Caution if you suffer from high blood pressure. The blood pressure should be checked regularly.

Please look at your doctor at regular intervals, as Prostess does not fix the enlargement of the prostate. As a control before and regular during treatment with Prostess, a medical examination should be carried out for the early detection of prostate cancer.

When taking Prostess with other medicines:
Interactions have not been sufficiently investigated.

• With simultaneous use of this medicine together with blood clotting drugs (such as phenprocoumone, warfarin, clopidogrel), their effect can be strengthened.
• At the same timetiger taking this medicine together with acetylsalicylic acid and other painkillers from the group of non-steroidal antirheumatics (such as ibuprofen, naproxen etc.) increases the risk for the occurrence of bleeding in the gastrointestinal area.
• With simultaneous intake of this medicine together with antiandrogens (e.g. Finasteride), the effect of these substances can be reinforced; With a hormone replacement therapy with testosterone or other therapeutic androgens, their effect can be attenuated.

Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take / use other medicines or recently taken / applied, even if it is non-prescription medicines.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
The intake of Prostess is only displayed for men (see the field of application).

Driveion and use of machines:
There are no special precautions required.

Important information about certain other ingredients of Prostess:
This medicine contains sorbitol. Please take a prostess only after consulting your doctor if you are known to suffer from any intolerance to certain sugars.

3.How is Prostess to take?

Always take Prostess exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
Take 1 soft capsule prostess twice a day (2 x 160 mg saw palm fruit thick extract.

Children and adolescents:
The application of Prostess is under 18 for children and adolescents Years not planned.

Type of application:
Prostess should be sufficiently liquid after eating (e.g. a glass of water.

Duration of application:
The practicing doctor will decide about the length of the treatments. Please note the information under application areas, precautions and interactions. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of prostess is too strong or too weak.

If you have taken a greater amount of prostess than you should:
The gastrointestinal complaints mentioned under side effects can increase. The medicine should then be discontinued and a doctor is visited.

If you forget to take Prostess:
If you have taken a capsule for a few or if you have forgotten, you should not occupy more than the prescribed capsule set at the next take-in time.

If you stop taking Prostess:
The drug treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia is usually a continuous therapy. Therefore, you should not interrupt the intake of prostess without consulting your doctor or terminate prematurely. If you have further questions about the application of the medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4.What side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, Prostess may have side effects that do not have to occur.

The assessment of side effects is based on the following frequency information:
Very often:	more than 1 treated from 10
Frequently:	1 to 10 treated from 100
Occasionally:	1 to 10 treated by 1,000
Rarely:	1 to 10 treated by 10,000
Very rare:	less than 1 treated from 10,000

Which side effects can occur when using prostess?

• Occasionally, gastrointestinal discomfort (nausea, vomiting, stomach or diameter or diarrhea) occur. Occasionally it canr increase in blood pressure.
• In connection with the simultaneous use of other medicines, bleeding may occur (compare the information on interactions; Frequency unknown).
• Allergic reactions or hypersensitivity reactions (Frequency unknown).

Which countermeasures are to take with side effects?
If the side effects occurring, the medicine should be discontinued and a doctor is visited. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if one of the listed side effects will significantly affect it or notice side effects that are not specified in this document formation.

5.How is Prostess to keep?

You must not use the drug after the expirable date specified on the folding box and the push-through package according to "usable to:". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month. Store drug out of reach of children!

What Prostess contains:
- The active ingredient is: saw palm fruit thick extract. 1 soft capsule contains 160 mg thick extract made of saw palm fruits (extr. SABALIS SERRULATAE) (7.5-12.5: 1).
Complete agent: ethanol 90% (m / m)
- The other ingredients are:
Gelatine, Glycerol 85%, Glycerol 98-100%, Sorbitol, Patent Blue V (E 131), iron (III) hydroxide oxide x H2O (E 172), iron (II, III) oxide (E 172), purified water.

Prostess is a dark green, oval soft gelatin capsule.
Prostess is available in packs of 50, 100 and 200 soft capsules.

Dear patient,
Your doctor has a benign enlargement of the prostate (= Benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH = prostatatadenoma) diagnosed. For improving your complaints in urination, Prostess was prescribed. How does these complaints come? The prostate (Guardian gland) is one of the male genital organs and a secretion that makes the seminal threads movable. The prostate is at the output (below) of the bladder and encloses the urethra ring-shaped (Fig. 1). Enlarges the prostate, it can result in the urethra (Figure 2) and to the known complaints (frequent urination, weak urinary beam, delayed start of bladder emptying) during urination. With a further enlargement of the prostate (Fig. 3), the bubble floor can be raised and it comes in addition to the residual hearing. In extreme cases, there may be a complete closure (Fig. 4) of the urethra with a backwater of urine. Here is an operation displayed. The causes of the BPH are not yet clarified in all details. An essential role in the formation of the BPH plays the male sex hormone, testosterone, especially in the prostate through the 5 alpha reductase in the much more active dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is converted. At the BPH increased DHT levels in the prostate and cause a growth of the prostate fabric. Sawing palm fruits thick extract inhibits the 5 alpha reductase and thus the formation of DHT. On the balance of the sex hormones outside the prostate saw palm fruit thick extract has no influence. Investigations have shown that the complaints are significantly improved with benign enlargement of the prostate by saw palm fruits thick extract. Special nutritional instructions are not required, but they can relieve their complaints further when they are urinary drinks (Alcohol, coffee) mainly in the late afternoon and evening hours avoid.
