Diaverde® 100 mg hard capsules. Active substance: Racecadotril. Field of application: For the symptomatic treatment of acute cycling in adults over 18 years, unless causing causal therapy is possible. Should a causal therapy be possible, racecadotrile can be given as supplementary therapy. Warnings: Contains lactose monohydrate.

What is Diaverde and what is it used for?
Diaverde is a medicine for the treatment of diarrhea. Diaverde is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute cycling in adults over the age of 18, unless the diarrhea can be treated causally.
Diaverde can be taken in addition to the causal therapy. If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, contact your doctor.

What is Diaverde take?
Diaverde is in the form of capsules for taking.
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or just according to the consultation made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Take a hard capsule 3 times a day preferably in front of the main meals so far with a glass of water.
On the 1st Treatment Day: At the beginning of 2 capsules at once regardless of the daytime, in front of the other main meals each 1 capsule (A total of 4 capsules).
From the 2nd Treatment Day: 1 capsule 3 times a day before the main meals.

The treatment should be continued as long as the stool is undressed (liquid). The treatment should not exceed 3 days.
In older patients, a dose change is not necessary.

Application in children and adolescents:
Diaverde 100 mg hard capsules are not suitable for infants, children and adolescents because of the high active ingredient content.

Treatment duration:
Do not take Diaverde without medical advice no longer than 3 days.

How to keep Diaverde?
Keep this medicine inaccessible to children.
You may not use this medicine according to the expirable date usable up to the outbox and the blister pack according to specified expiry date. The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
Do not store more than 25 ° C. Store in the original packaging.
