APPLICATION AREAS:

For the treatment of flea infestation (Ctenocephalides spp.).

Fleas are killed within 24 hours. The veterinary medicinal product has a continuing insecticidal efficacy for up to 5 weeks against fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). Although no immediate killing effect was detected against ticks, the veterinary medicinal product has shown an acaricidal effectiveness against Dermacentor reticulatus. If the ticks of this type are present when the veterinary medicinal product is applied, not all ticks may be killed within the first 48 hours after application, but only within a week.

Contraindications:

- Do not use in kittens at the age of less than 2 months and / or with a body weight of less than 1 kg
- Do not use in sick (systemic diseases, fever) or gesture animals

Side effects:

When the animal lickes the solution, increased salivation flow through the carrier solution can occur for a short time.

The extremely rare side effects include temporary skin reactions on the application site (skin discoloration, local hair loss, itching, skin rotation (erythema)) and general itching or hair loss. In some exceptional cases, after application, increased salivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hypersensitivity, depression, nervous symptoms), Vomiting or respiratory symptoms observed.

Further precautions:

The product can attack dyed, lacquered or other land in the household or furniture.

Application during pregnancy or lactation:
Laboratory tests with Fpronil did not give any evidence of teratogenic or embryotoxic effects. No studies were carried out with this veterinary medicinal product for carrying and tensive cats. Therefore, an application during pregnancy and lactation should only be done by the appropriate benefit-risk assessment by the attending veterinarian.

Overdose:
The toxicity of the veterinary medicinal product is very small when administered to the skin. The risk of side effects can increase in the event of an overdose, so animals should always be treated with the right product depending on the species and body weight.

In compatibility studies on eight-week old cats with a body weight of about 1 kg, which were treated once a month with five times the recommended dose over three consecutive months, no side effects were observed.
