1. What is Calcium-Sandoz Fortissimum 1000 mg and what is it used for?

Calcium Sandoz Fortissimum 1000 mg is a mineral preparation. Calcium Sandoz Fortissimum 1000 mg is used:

• for the prevention and treatment of a calcium deficiency
• to support a special therapy for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis (bone loss).

Calcium Sandoz Fortissimum 1000 mg is also used in addition to vitamin D3 for the treatment of rickitis (softening of the growth of nearby bone in children) and osteomalacia (softening of bones in adults.

How does Calcium Sandoz Fortissimum 1000 mg?
Calcium is a vital mineral necessary for bone formation and bone preservation. It is absorbed in the small intestine and is distributed through the blood throughout the body. Calcium plays an important role in some body functions. It is essential for the nerve, muscle and heart function as well as for the blood clotting. Calcium Sandoz Fortissimum 1000 mg must not be taken:

• if they are allergic to the active substance or one of the other ingredients of this medicinal product referred to in section 6
• if you increase the calcium level in the blood (Hypercalemia)
• if you increase the calcium excretion in urine (Hypercalzuria)
• if there are certain kidney disorders, including: kidney stones (nephrolithiasis), calcium deposits in kidney tissue (nephrocalcinosis).

Warnings and Precautions:
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you Calcium Sandoz Take Fortissimum 1000 mg. If you suffer from kidney disease, you should only use this product apply after consultation with your doctor. This applies in particular when they take aluminum-containing preparations. Do not take any vitamin D preparations together with Calcium Sandoz Fortissimum 1000 mg. Type of application:
