1. What is Calcium-Sandoz D Osteo Intens and what is it used for?

Calcium Sandoz D Osteo Intens is a calcium vitamin D3 preparation. It is applied:
  • for prophylaxis and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiency states in the elderly
  • as a calcium and vitamin D supplement to the supportive treatment of osteoporosis (bone loss).

2. What do you need to consider intens before taking Calcium-Sandoz D Osteo?

Calcium Sandoz D Osteo intens may not be taken:

  • for renal stones (Nephrolithiasis)
  • for calcium deposits in the kidneys (nephrocalcinosis)
  • in vitamin D overdose (hypervitaminosis D)
  • for serious kidney problems

Take special care with CALCIUM Sandoz D Osteo intens is required:
  • During long-term therapy, the calcium levels in blood and urine and their renal function must be monitored regularly. This is especially important when they tend to form renal stones. If necessary, your doctor, depending on your blood levels, can reduce the dose or interrupt the treatment.

When taking Calcium Sandoz D Osteo intens with other medicines:
