1. What are Biotin Heumann 5 mg tablets and what are they used for?

Biotin Heumann 5 mg tablets are a vitamin preparation.
Biotin Heumann 5 mg tablets are used
- For the prevention and treatment of a biotin deficiency (for prevention, less than 0.2 mg biotin is sufficient in the day),
- To treat a biotin deficiency in the very rare biotin-dependent, multiple carboxylase defective.

2. What do you need to consider 5 mg tablets before taking Biotin Heumann?

Biotin Heumann 5 mg tablets may not be taken for incompatibility with one of the ingredients of the medicine.

When taking Biotin Heumann 5 mg tablets with other medicines
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take / use other medicines or recently taken / applied
even if it is non-prescription medicines.

There are indications that medicines for convulsive accidents (Anticonvulsiva) reduce the mirror of biotin in blood plasma.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:

3. How are Heumann to take 5 mg tablets?

Always take Biotin Heumann 5 mg tablets exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist

Daily 1 tablet Biotin Heumann (corresponded to 5 mg biotin).
For prophylaxis less than 0.2 mg of biotin per day are sufficient.

Daily 1 - 2 tablets Biotin Heumann (corresponded to 5 - 10 mg biotin).
For lower dosages there are supplements with less content of biotin available.

Like all medicines, biotin Heumann can have 5 mg tablets side effects, but they do not have to occur each other.
The assessment of side effects is based on the following frequency information:

Very common: more than 1 of 10 treated

Often: less than 1 out of 10, but more than 1 of 100 Treated

Occasionally: less than 1 of 100, but more than 1 of 1,000 Treated

Rarely: less than 1 of 1,000, but more than 1 out of 10,000 Treated

Very rare: less than 1 out of 10,000 treated, including individual cases

Skin:

Store drug out of reach of children.
